Excavation work leaves a yard looking worse than it started. Getting it back is its own job, and it is one we do a lot of.
When a drain collapses and has to be dug out and replaced, the repair is the easy half. What is left behind is a backyard with the turf cut open and mounds of spoil sitting across it, and most homeowners have no idea where to start with that.
Levelling first
Spoil gets spread or carted off, the ground is brought back to grade, and only then is there any point talking about planting. Grading first is what stops the finished yard settling into dips a year later.
Then the yard people actually wanted
With the ground level again we rebuild what should have been there: beds edged and mulched, paths laid where people actually walk, planting chosen for the light the yard gets. The work below ground is what makes the work above it last.

“We had a mess that needed fixing. We had a collapsed height from the drain that was replaced, so there was mounds dirt throughout the backyard. Eddie & his hard working guys took care of it all. The transformation of the backyard was breathtaking. The guys got in & got things put back together so nice to see I would highly recommend him if you need some landscape work”
